Security officer stabbed
Long Beach CA August 21 2023 An argument at a downtown Long Beach bar early Sunday morning led one patron to stab another patron and a security guard.
Officers were summoned at 12:20 a.m. to the bar in the 100 block of Pine Avenue, according to Long Beach police Lt. Steven Costa.
“The initial investigation revealed a verbal altercation occurred between several male adult patrons and the male adult security guards,” Costa said. “During the altercation, a male adult suspect stabbed a male adult security guard victim, and a male adult patron victim.”
Both suffered non-life-threatening wounds to their upper bodies, he said. Paramedics took them to a hospital where they had stable vital signs.
The suspect fled, Costa said. An investigation was underway.
