Security officer stabbed after confronting brick-toting teen at St. Louis business
ST LOUIS MO Nov 14 2017 A security officer was stabbed Sunday night after confronting a teen who was about to vandalize a St. Louis business, police said.
The security officer, 54, was stabbed in the abdomen, police said. He was taken to a hospital, where he was in critical but stable condition.
The security guard was working in the 1300 block of Aubert Avenue, north of Page Boulevard, when he heard a noise about 6:50 p.m., police said.
He went outside and confronted a teen holding a brick who appeared to be about to throw it at the building, police said.
The teen pulled out a knife and stabbed the security officer, police said. Then he ran off to the north.
He was described as black, about 14 or 15, about 110-120 pounds with a short afro and wearing a black shirt, black shoes and red pants.
