Security officer uses Taser on disorderly woman
Visalia CA Feb 8 2018 A woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon after she allegedly assaulted a security guard in Visalia.
At 3:45 p.m., a security guard at Church and Main streets, near the Visalia Convention Center, approached a woman who was hitting her head against a wall.
The woman reportedly became violent with the guard and struck him with a stick and rock, according to a news release from Visalia Police Department public information officer Sgt. Damon Maurice.
The guard, who sustained an injury from the altercation, then used a Taser on the woman to subdue her. Visalia police arrested her and she was booked into Tulare County Jail on suspicion of assault.
The woman, who is in her 20s, has not been identified by law enforcement, according to the news release.
