Security officers discover homicide victims

It doesn’t look like murder had a chance to catch its breath.
A number of shootings and stabbings across the GTA had homicide detectives scrambling.
On Saturday night, cops were called to 4205 Lawrence Ave. E., at Morningside Ave. in West Hill around 10:18 p.m. after the bodies of two people were discovered in an eighth-floor apartment unit at that address.
The dead were described as two adults.
Officers deemed the deaths suspicious and the homicide unit has now been called in. An autopsy will be performed on the bodies Monday, police said.
Phyllis Boroughs — who has lived in the building for the past 18 years — said she knows the mother of one of the victims who she believes lives in Sudbury.
“What I was told last night (Saturday) was they had been in the apartment for a few days,” Boroughs toldThe Toronto Sun.
“The next door neighbour called security because of the foul smell.”
Boroughs added, “it was a boyfriend and girlfriend and they had been slashed up.”
They are in their mid-20s and had been dead for two days before the bodies were discovered.
The two bodies were removed from TCHC building by the coroner’s office just after 7 a.m. Sunday.
Two Toronto Special Constables could be seen in the hallway guarding the apartment unit and residents on the floor were tight-lipped.
Two women walking from the building to a local coffee shop were asked what might have have taken place, said “no comment, no comment. You know better than to ask questions. This is the ‘hood.”
On Sunday, the forensics unit was on the scene as detectives canvassed the area.
And on Thursday, officers were called to 30 Harrison Garden Blvd. in the Yonge St. and Hwy. 401 area just before 8 p.m. for reports of a shooting.
A security officer in the building discovered the victim suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking garage after residents reported hearing the shots.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Wednesday, six people sent to hospital in three separate shootings.
Meanwhile, in Brampton a teenager is in critical condition after he was shot Saturday night.
Officers were called to Glidden and Hale roads, east of Rutherford Rd. S., just after 6:30 p.m. after they received reports of a shooting.
Cops say the 19-year-old male victim suffered critical injuries in the incident and was taken to a local trauma centre in life-threatening condition.
Peel Regional Police say they are hunting for the triggerman who fled the area. A suspect description has not been released.
Anyone with information in either of these incidents should contact police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
