Security officers find 3-year-old boy found walking alone at night
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. May 22 2017
A private security officer on duty noticed a small child in the middle of the night walking alone down a busy street.
The security officer said that he saw the child walking down North Academy near Rebecca Lane just after 3 a.m. and went to help the child as he called police.
Police say that the 3-year-old was unable to tell them who he was or where he lived.
At that point, officers and security personnel went to several apartment complexes in the area looking for the parents or any doors that mat have been left open.
Police and security officers canvassed the area for several hours before finding the home of the child.
Police have not said how the child got out of his home or how the parents were found.
The parents are not facing charges.
