Nashville TN March 3 2019
Two women were arrested after police found drugs and a gun in their vacation rental room in Downtown Nashville on Thursday.
Metro Nashville Police were contacted by a security guard at the Music City Lofts who inspected Shank and Langston’s room after suspecting it smelled like marijuana, which was a violation of the property’s rental agreement.
During inspection, the security guard spotted a gun sitting on a window next to a bed. He told the officers that he was going to ask the women to leave, but they ran away when he tried to talk to them.
32-year-old Robyn Shank later returned to the room and gave police consent to search. Inside, police found 15 needles, 4 spoons with drug residue on them, two drug scales, a pipe and a small amount of marijuana.
Metro Police said that the gun belonged to Shank, who was convicted of a felony in Florida.
Also arrested was 31-year-old Karen Langston. After being taken into custody, 2.4 grams of crystal meth in Langston’s purse, as well as 31.8 grams of crystal meth and 33 grams in her underwear, the affidavit states.
Langston and Shank are both currently being held in Metro Jail on $68,500 bond each.
