Security spots felon with handgun at Columbus hospital

A man was arrested at Nationwide Children’s Hospital after he was caught by security officers streaming on Facebook with a gun.
According to police, Stacey Allison, Jr.’s child was a patient at the hospital. Allison was in the child’s room early Thursday morning, recording himself on Facebook Live and posing with a handgun.
Allison was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to a burglary conviction in May 2016.
Officers were called by hospital security and arrived and located a loaded .380 semi-auto pistol concealed by a sweatshirt in the child’s car seat.
He was arrested and is charged with having a weapon under disability.
A representative with the hospital they did not have an official statement but said that their security officer spotted the video and notified police.
According to their website, Nationwide Children’s prohibits all weapons, including firearms, on all of its property.
Allison was arraigned on Friday and is held on $250,000 bond.
