Security surveillance operater helps Las Vegas police arrest assault suspect
LAS VEGAS NV July 25 2019 A suspect is in custody after surveillance video captured an alleged assault Tuesday morning in the central valley, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
Someone with a security company called police around 3:10 a.m. to report seeing through a video feed a man assaulting a woman outside a home in the 1300 block of San Pedro Street, near Sahara Avenue and Maryland Parkway, said Lt. David Gordon.
The caller said the man pulled the woman’s body into the home. Officers responded, set up containment and tried to speak with the people inside, but they did not get a response, Gordon said.
Officers eventually went into the house and found a female victim who had injuries to her mouth and lip. She was treated at the scene, according to Gordon.
The suspect, identified as an adult male, was taken into custody just after 7 a.m. No other details were immediately available.
