Several people charged with disturbances at Mercy Medical Center
Roseburg OR July 13 2017 It was a busy day for hospital security Monday.
At 9:30 a.m., a 41-year-old woman allegedly refused treatment while at Mercy Medical Center and took off running away from the hospital’s security and into the cancer center, according to police.
Once inside the center, the woman, identified as Tina Marie Dybowski, allegedly destroyed a water fountain and tracked mud throughout the building. Despite being asked to leave, Dybowski continued to yell and scream in the center, causing enough alarm that employees began locking themselves in an office.
Dybowski was arrested on suspicion of second-degree trespass, second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Later that day, a 51-year-old who was allegedly causing a disturbance, also attempted to escape from hospital security.
The man, Gordon Davis Shaw, also allegedly caused more than $4,000 in damage to the hospital.
He was charged with first-degree criminal mischief.
