Shoplifter slashes Brooklyn security officer

A stab happy crook slashed a security officer at a Fulton Street department store during a theft on Oct. 14.
The victim told police that the man attempted to shoplift a jacket from the store near Hoyt Street at around 12:38 pm, but when the security officer confronted him, he took out a knife and slashed the victim in the right arm.
The security officer was treated for a non-life threatening injury but there was no word on whether the assailant has been caught.
