Shoplifter stabs security guard with syringe, police say
BALTIMORE MD May 22 2020 An alleged shoplifter stabbed a security guard with a syringe in Baltimore’s Mt. Vernon early tonight, said police.
It happened on North Charles Street near Read Street, at about 6:33 p.m.
This business was identified as a CVS store.
Police said a store security guard was trying to detain a shoplifter.
The security guard and the shoplifter started struggling.
Police said the shoplifter then took out a syringe and stuck the security guard.
This is the second serious violent incident reported between a shoplifter and a security guard on North Charles Street in recent days.
On Monday, a shoplifter was shot by a security guard at Safeway in Charles Village.
