Shots fired at Colorado security officers during fight
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Jan 21 2018 Police are still investigating after a fight escalated into shots fired and threats against private security officers.
A fight in a parking lot escalated into a shooting early Friday.
Police say security guards were threatened with weapons when they tried to break up the argument. The argument involved several people.
The incident happened just before 2 a.m. on the 3300 block of North Academy St.
One of the suspects reportedly pulled out a handgun after the security officers approached the men and that’s when one of them waved it in the air.
A second suspect pulled out his gun and aimed it at the security officers.
The two men then left the area in a blue sedan.
Police say a third man in the group left with them, and one of the people in the car fired at least two shots at the security officers while speeding away. No one was hit.
No suspect descriptions have been released.
Police are still searching for the men involved.
