Shots fired during large fight at SUNY Buffalo State College

Police responded to a large brawl at SUNY Buffalo State early Sunday morning that resulted in gunfire.
The call then came in that weapons were involved in the fight that was in the area of Rockwell Road and Rees Street near Lot R-15.
According to police, during the fight, one person fired a weapon into the air and fled toward the Campus Walk apartment complex, but police reported no injuries.
Police describe the suspect who fired the gun as a black male wearing a dark hoodie with the hood up, jeans and white sneakers.
University Police and Buffalo Police are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call University Police at 878-6333 or their anonymous tip line at 878-3166.
The University Police Department at SUNY Buffalo State will have targeted patrols in and around the campus for the rest of the weekend.
