Waikiki HI March 30 2019
A security officer working an assignment Friday was threatened by a man armed with a knife.
Police arrested a homeless man after he allegedly threatened a security guard with a knife in Waikiki early today.
The security officer was working in the area of the Royal Hawaiian Avenue when he found a homeless man asleep in a restricted area.
Police said the suspect, of no local address, was sleeping in the area at about 1:35 a.m. when the security guard woke him up and that’s when he brandished a three-inch pocket knife and threatened to kill the security officer.
