SNL star Chris Redd seen with a bloody nose after he was ‘punched’ by a ‘man dressed in a security guard uniform’ in NYC as he arrived to a comedy club for his show.
Saturday Night Live Star Chris Redd was ‘punched’ in the face by a man dressed as a security guard outside New York City’s Comedy Cellar police reported.
The comedian was left with a deep cut on his nose as his Greg Yuna chain was also torn off his neck by the suspect.
Police rushed to the scene, but were unable to apprehend the suspect, who left the bloody crime scene as Redd was rushed to the hospital.
Redd was reported to be in good condition and was able to recover his necklace.
The 37-year-old comedian was getting out of a car in front of the Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village when a man dressed in a security guard uniform ran up to him and allegedly assaulted him, TMZ reports.
The funnyman was wearing a Greg Yuna chain, which came apart when the suspect allegedly grabbed it as he ran away from the bloody crime scene.
Chris, who was scheduled to perform that night at the venue, was rushed to the hospital, but he was reported to be in good condition after suffering a deep cut on his nose.
