State Farm Insurance equips Round Rock TX police, firefighter’s homes with security system
Round Rock Texas Oct 3 2018
State Farm Insurance is donating 400 Canary home security devices to Round Rock Police and Fire Departments personnel as part of its Protect the Protectors program. The devices will be distributed just before first responders disperse to the more than 50 events that make up National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct. 2.
State Farm began the Protect the Protectors program in 2015. The program aims to provide security to first responders across the U.S., so that they too can know that their homes and loved ones are safe and secure. Nearly 10,000 home monitoring devices have been donated to date.
Chief Allen Banks, Round Rock Police Department: “We are grateful that State Farm considered Round Rock for this program. The Canary Smart Home Security System will add a layer of protection to our homes and strengthen the quality of life for all of our first responders. It is partnerships like these that make Round Rock a great place to live.”
Chief Robert Isbell, Round Rock Fire Department: “Our first responders give so much of themselves to ensure the safety of their community, and it’s so meaningful for their families to receive that same kind of care from others. I appreciate the efforts to help ease the minds of some of our first responders when they are away from home.”
Alejandra de la Torre, State Farm Agent: “As a State Farm Agent I’m proud to represent a company that values giving back to the communities where we live and work. I’ve been working with Officer Angelo Marmarinos for more than a year to make this donation possible and it’s being held on National Night Out — a time where we truly get to appreciate first responders who put their lives on the line every day!”
