Student bites security officer after being found with BB gun
READING, Pa. March 12 2019 – Criminal charges have been filed against a Reading High School student accused of biting a school security guard after being found with an unloaded BB gun.
The 19-year-old student, identified as Lenny Figueroa-Osorio, pulled the gun during an argument with another student in a classroom on Friday, according to court documents released Monday.
A security guard asked for the gun, which Figueroa-Osorio turned over without incident before climbing out of an open window and running off.
The gun was found to be unloaded with no CO2 cartridge, according to police.
Sometime after that, police said Figueroa-Osorio returned to the school and bit a security guard before being handcuffed and turned over to police.
Figueroa-Osorio was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, two counts of disorderly conduct, harassment, and possession of a weapon on school property. He was freed on $5,000 bail.
