Suicide occurs outside Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital emergency room entrance

Police were working Sunday afternoon to identify a person who died by suicide earlier in the day near the Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital emergency room entrance.
A hospital security guard notified police about the incident at 9:24 a.m.
“We are fully cooperating with the Dover Police Department’s investigation,” Darrin Lautenschleger, hospital director of community relations, wrote in a prepared statement.
“This tragic situation involved one individual.
No patients, visitors or caregivers were harmed.
“The hospital has remained open with no interruption of patient care services.
Patients arriving at the Emergency Center temporarily were redirected to an alternate entrance.”
