Suspect arrested in stabbing death of Bronx security officer
Bronx NY July 13 2018
A man has been charged in connection to the fatal stabbing of a Bronx security officer.
Idris Abdul-Muhaymin, 45, was charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon Wednesday.
The incident happened Wednesday inside of MNI Security Specialists Inc on 888 E. 233rd St. around 1:48 p.m.
Police say they responded to the location and found 45-year-old Wanda Rios with stab wounds to her neck.
She was first discovered by a co-worker.
Police say they believe a screw driver was used during the attack.
Rios was transported to Montefiore Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Police say Abdul-Muhaymin is also suspected of killing his uncle, 73-year-old Owen Dillard inside the man’s Beekman Avenue apartment in June after he won thousands of dollars from a lottery.
However, he has not been charged yet.
