Suspect pulls knife on security at Nashville honky tonk
Nashville, Tennessee Dec 10 2021 A 55-year-old man was detained on Tuesday night after metro police were told by security guards he pulled a knife on them at a bar on Broadway.
According to the arrest warrant, police officers said they were patrolling the Broadway and Force Avenue areas when they saw Bobby Jean Kearney fighting guards at the front door of Honky-tonk Central. Police said he smelled of alcohol and was red and teary eyed on their arrival.
Authorities alleged that Kearney was escorted from the bar for chaotic behavior and then pulled out the knife. Witnesses also said they saw Kearney exhibiting pocketknives.
During his post-arrest search, authorities said he found Kearney a pocketknife, a utility knife, and a pipe that was believed to have been used to smoke crack cocaine.
He was taken into custody at booked at the metro jail.
