Sydney AU May 21 2019 A SYDNEY HOSPITAL SECURITY GUARD HAS SPENT THE NIGHT BEHIND BARS AFTER BEING CHARGED WITH THE MURDER OF HIS WIFE.
60-YEAR-OLD MOURAD KEROLLOS FROM PANANIA IN SYDNEY’S SOUTH-WEST IS ACCUSED OF REPEATEDLY STABBING HIS WIFE AND LEAVING HER BODY JUST METRES FROM SYDNEY’S PRINCE OF WALES HOSPITAL.
Gihan Kerollos, a 47-year-old mother-of-three, had just finished a shift at the hospital when she was found unresponsive and with stab wounds on Barker Street on Saturday night at about 8:45pm.
Police believe that her husband was ready and waiting on Barker Street in the family’s station wagon.
A knife was found in a pool of blood on the street, which police allege was used in the incident that was described as “domestic”.
“I never expected it from him Never, never in my life,” one of Mr Kerollos’ neighbours said to 9News.
“I feel very bad because this street is a very nice street. Everybody really supports each other.”
Mr Kerollos was arrested at the scene and did not apply for bail.
He is expected to front Central Local Court on July 18.
