Texas restaurant security guard brutally assaulted
SAN ANTONIO TX March 9 2024– A security guard was assaulted after dealing with disorderly customers at a restaurant on the Southeast side.
A security guard escorted unruly customers out on Dec. 2, 2023 of Rocky’s Taco House on Dollarhide Avenue and customers continued to cause a disturbance by physically assaulting the security officer.
The San Antonio Police Department shared that the security officer pounced on the male suspect, attempting to detain him, when a female suspect jumped on the officer’s back and scratched his eyes.
Police say that the security guard released the male suspect and that’s when the suspect punched the security guard in the face as he fell to the floor.
The security guard suffered visible scratches and swelling to his face and was diagnosed with a concussion.
Authorities share that the suspects are facing charges of Assault and Bodily Injury against a Security Officer.
