Texas security officers, police perform lifesaving measure on gunshot victim
HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas March 16 2020 One person was killed and another injured in a shooting overnight in Harker Heights.
According to police, officers were called around 3:27 a.m. to Club Krush at 201 W. Veterans Memorial Boulevard in reference to a shooting with reported injuries.
The first victim was shot in the parking lot of the club, according to witnesses.
Officials said security officers for the club and police performed CPR on the first victim. He was taken to Baylor Scott & White where he died.
Identity of the victim has not been released.
The second shooting victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center.
Police believe the incident started as a verbal argument then escalated to a fight ending in the shooting.
The suspect is described as a black male between 5’4″ and 5’9″ tall. Police say he left the scene in a black or dark gray Dodge Charger.
