Texas Sheriff’s Deputy Dies after Medical Emergency
Tarrant County TX June 6, 2022 A Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office deputy died on Sunday when he suffered a medical problem while he was on a call, his office said.
The Tarrant County sheriff’s deputy has been identified by the agency as Billy W. Scheets.
The deputy was taken about 5 p.m. to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Azle and died there, the sheriff’s office said.
A sheriff’s office did not immediately say whether the deputy was in a vehicle, outdoors, in a residence or at some other location when he suffered the medical problem or describe the nature of the call.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
