Thieves Steal More Than $2M in Jewelry During Smash-and-Grab in the Bronx
Bronx NY Aug 10 2022
Four men stole more than $2 million worth of jewelry from a Bronx store in broad daylight on Friday, according to the New York Police Department.
One man was buzzed into Rocco’s Jewelry by an employee at about 2:40 p.m., then propped the door open to let three other men dressed in black into the store.
Once inside the store, the three individuals used a hammer to smash open the display cases and removed a large amount of high-end diamond jewelry.
The individuals ultimately fled on foot with bags full of the jewelry.
Remarkably, all of this happened in about 30 seconds.
The NYPD is looking for information on the four men, offering a $3,500 reward.
