Three charged in assault-theft at Davenport Walmart
DAVENPORT, Iowa Oct 22 2017 – Three people from Clinton are behind bars after police say they tried to steal from a Davenport store and attack a security guard.
Police arrested 32-year-old Jessica Crabtree, 31-year-old Shane Brown and 23-year-old Korrey Worden.
Officers responded to a shoplifting call at the Walmart on Elmore Avenue Thursday evening.
Police say Crabtree punched the guard on her way out of the store and took off with the men in a van.
An officer spotted the van and stopped the driver.
Investigators say the officer noticed a sawed-off shotgun in the van.
They’re being held in Scott County Jail on robbery and weapons charges.
