Toronto Canada Aug 16 2018 The Toronto Police Service is moving to a verified response model for burglar alarm activations, according to the Canadian Security Association.

The new model will take effect on Sept. 10 this year.

According to the new guidelines:

The Toronto Police Service will no longer respond to alarms solely on the request of alarm monitoring stations

The verification requirement will apply to burglar alarm activations

Panic Alarms will NOT be included in the verified response requirement
