Towne East security officers robbed, 1 Tased

Two Towne East security officers reported being to police that they were robbed by a man with a Taser at around 11:50 p.m. Sunday according to Wichita police.
Officers arrived and found a 33-year-old security officer in the office.
“An unknown suspect with a taser entered the closed mall, approached her and a second 66-year-old female security guard in the office,” said officer Charley Davidson, Wichita Police Department.
“The suspect threatened both security officers and Tased one of the them and demanded money from the mall.”
One security guard tried to use her cell phone to call 911, but the suspect took the phone and ran.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, including how the suspect was able to enter the mall.
