Truck driver arrested for drugs after telling security officer about noise coming from his truck
STATESVILLE, N.C. Aug 18 2018 – A security officer on patrol was flagged down by a truck driver in a North Carolina parking lot of a Lowe’s.
The driver told the security officer that he had been hearing loud noises coming from the trailer.
The security officer investigated but didn’t hear anything himself but decided to call police before they opened the trailer doors.
was parked in a Statesville Lowe’s parking lot when he told a security guard he heard voices in his trailer.
When authorities arrived, police had a K-9 search the trailer behind Richard Dean Jr.’s truck.
Inside the trailer, there was heroin, meth and drug paraphernalia, police said.
Dean, who is not a Lowe’s employee, was arrested on drug charges.
