Tulsa, Okla. – Jan 16 2018
A shooting at a Tulsa Quik-Trip gas station has left one person dead but not before a security officer responded and administered CPR and first-aid lifesaving measures and tried to save the woman.
Tulsa police have arrested Ty Rutledge in connection with the death of the woman early Monday morning.
Police tracked him down at an apartment near 47th and Darlington.
Police were looking for a man and two women involved in the fatal shooting.
Police said that they were searching for a black, older Mitsubishi Gallant that left westbound after a woman was shot with a shotgun around 4:15 a.m. Monday.
Officers were examining store surveillance footage.
Media reports said that a woman in the shooter’s car may be a member of the Irish Mob and a prostitute.
The shooting happened at the Quiktrip near 31st and Highway 169.
An attempt was made to help the victim right after the shooting. TPD Sgt. Dave Walker said, “The security guard pulled up after the shooting and tried to administer CPR to the victim.” Sgt. Walker said the victim was standing outside of her car when the shooter got out of his car and shot her. The victim died at the scene.
