Two injured in shooting at Lehigh Valley Mall
WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, Pa. June 2 2018
A fight that began inside a Macy’s store at the Lehigh Valley Mall on Friday evening and then quickly escalated and moved to the parking lot where two men were left injured.
“It does appear that part of the incident did occur in the Macy’s and moved into the parking lot,” said Chief Michael Marks with the Whitehall Township Police.
Two men were injured in the shooting. They were transported to an area hospital; their condition is unknown at this time.
“Nothing is more important to us than the safety of our shoppers and employees.
We are grateful for the swift response to this incident by our security team and the Whitehall Police Department.
As this is a police matter, all further inquiries should be directed to the Whitehall Police Department,” said the mall in a statement.
Police say they are searching for at least one suspect who they believe to be a man.
