Two men charged with assaulting Myrtle Beach security officer
MYRTLE BEACH, SC Aug 27 2018 Two men were arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning after they reportedly assaulted bar security after being told to leave.
Thomas Britt and David Hedwin were arrested and charged with battery and assault after security footage showed the pair pushing security, even punching one security officer in the head.
Police say when they arrived to the scene around 1:30 a.m. the suspects were slurring their speech and claimed to not know the victim was security.
Surveillance footage showed the two suspects talking calmly with the victim before the assault. The victim was also wearing a hat and shirt that both displayed a security badge according to police.
