Two men charged with robbery, assault on security officer
Auckland NZ May 7 2018 Two men have appeared in court charged with robbery after allegedly assaulting a security guard outside an Auckland bank and stealing a cash box.
Ivan Douglas Carr, 37, and Steven George Anderson, 36, both appeared in the Auckland District Court this morning.
The did not enter pleas to their charges and were remanded in custody to appear again on Monday.
The alleged robbery happened on Dominion Rd in Mt Roskill about 4pm yesterday.
The guard was assaulted and the alleged offenders took off in a stolen car with a large amount of cash.

Police found the accused men close to the car and said they had large amounts of cash on them.
The men were arrested as a result.
Police believed all the money was recovered.
Detective Senior Sergeant Geoff Baber said the arrests were an example of what could be achieved when the public helped police.
