Two men indicted by federal grand jury for armored truck robbery
CHARLESTON, SC December 15 2018 Two men accused of robbing an armored car in April have been indicted by a federal grand jury.
Robert Lee Brown II , 26, of West Ashley, and Rashad Dingle, 31, of North Charleston, were charged in a five-count indictment, First Assistant U.S. Attorney Lance Crick said. The indictment alleges a robbery affecting interstate commerce and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence, he said.
Dingle is also charged with being a felon in possession of ammunition.
Both men face a maximum penalty of up to life in federal prison.
Dorchester County deputies say the men robbed a Brinks Truck located in an Ashley Phosphate Road parking lot on April 10.
