Two men shot by security guards outside San Antonio night club following fight
SAN ANTONIO TX May 23 2021Â – Two men were shot by security guards outside a Northwest side night club overnight.
Police were called out to the Marriott on NW Loop 410 at I-10 around 1:00 a.m. for reports of a shooting in progress.
When officers arrived at the location, they found two men in a pickup truck with gunshot wounds to their arms.
They were both taken to University Hospital in stable condition.
According to the sergeant at the scene, the two men were with a third man at Sugar’s gentlemen’s club and reportedly got asked to leave by club security.
On the way out of the club, the three began fighting, then hopped into the truck and began to drive away.
As they drove off, two security guards opened fire on their truck from both sides, hitting the two men in the front seat.
The man sitting in the back was not hit.
They drove about a quarter mile away to the Marriott hotel where they called for help.
Police have detained the two security guards for questioning, the charges are unknown at this time.
The security guards told police that after the men were asked to leave, the three men made threats and tried to pin them with the truck. The security guard believes that one of the men reached for a gun.
This is an ongoing investigation.
