Two NYC Security Officers Murdered
Bronx NY February 28, 2022
NYPD officers responded to separate incidents involving the fatal attacks on two security officers.
Detectives said that the first incident occurred at a Bronx nightclub where an unruly patron refused to leave after fighting with several other customers.
The man was forced out but returned about fifteen minutes and reentered the club and began shooting. One customer and a security guard were shot. The customer had non-life-threatening injuries, but the security officer died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
A second fatal incident involving a security officer was reported in Brooklyn, Saturday night.
The early morning violence followed a fatal stabbing in Brooklyn late Saturday night, cops said.
Two security guards assigned to provide security at a party were knifed while attempting to toss a “disruptive” guest from 168 7th Street around 10:45 p.m., cops said.
One of the guards, 25, was stabbed in the chest, while the other, 21, was knifed in the back.
Both victims were taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. The older security guard died, while the younger was in stable condition, cops said.
A 20-year-old man was taken into custody and charges were pending.
