Two people dead in shooting at Texas A&M Commerce
COMMERCE, TX Feb 4 2020— Texas A&M Commerce was sheltering in place while they investigated a shooting that left two dead.
According to Texas A&M Commerce officials, the university police department received a call around 10:17 a.m. from a student who lives at Pride Rock residence hall.
When they arrived, they found two adult females dead.
The third person, a small child, was taken to the hospital for treatment but is in stable condition.
The precautionary shelter in place recommendations have now been lifted.
A&M Commerce says due to the ongoing investigation, Pride Rock and surrounding areas are still blocked off.
The Rayburn Student Center is available for students that may be displaced by the ongoing investigation.
