Two School Security Officers Die in First Week of Back to School

Two school security officers have died in the line of duty during the first week back to school.
One died after being hit by a vehicle while directing traffic at a school and the second security officer had a fatal heart attack after breaking up students fighting on campus.
Fourteen others have reportedly been assaulted and several have been injured.
One South Carolina school security officer lost his job after he was involved in a private sales transaction involving a firearm and left the weapon in a student’s vehicle.
Police were called and investigated and decided not to pursue criminal charges.
