Two Security Officers-Bar Customer Shot To Death

Two security officers and a customer of a nightclub are dead after three separate shootings.
In Columbus Ohio, police are still investigating the shooting death of a security officer at an area bar on Sunday night.
According to the Columbus Division of Police officers responded to reports of a shooting at a bar in the 1400 block of Oakland Park Avenue at about 11:34pm, Sunday.
When officers arrived on scene, they found Shawn Lee Patilla, 49, lying in the middle of the bar suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Patilla was taken to Grant Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
Police say Patila was a security guard at the bar and there was a disturbance earlier in the night. However, officers continue to investigate whether the disturbance and the shooting are related.
The suspect ran from the bar after the shooting according to police.

Police in San Francisco are also investigating a shooting death of a security officer.
Officers responded to a man down call when they found the unidentified man wearing a security officer uniform shot several times.
The victim succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Police have not yet identified the name of the security officer and said that at this time
they do not have any suspects.
San Antonio TX police are investigating the death of a woman they say was shot to death by a security officer who told police she tried to run him over in the parking lot of a Northeast Side bar early Monday morning.
According to authorities, the woman was at the Bar 23 Sports Bar on Walzem Road when she was involved in a confrontation with the security officer after he accidentally bumped into her car while trying to break up another fight at about 2:30 a.m.
Investigators say she drove her car around the parking lot as the security guard ordered her to stop. She continued to drive and eventually turned toward the security officer and tried to run him over, said police. He fired several shots at her and she was struck in the neck by a bullet.
The woman was hit in the neck and transported to University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Witnesses are being interviewed by detectives.
Note: This is the 25th fatal shooting by private security officers since Jan 1 2018.
