Two security officers injured when Loomis Armored Truck rolls over in NC

Two people were hurt after an armored truck overturned on U.S. 321 Thursday.
The Loomis truck was traveling southbound north of Dallas when it ran off the right side of the road near Cloninger Road around 4:08 p.m. , according to Highway Patrol Trooper J.J. Waters. Two security officers were taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center “conscious and alert,” according to Gaston Emergency Medical Services officials.
The truck landed off the right shoulder of the road and onto a short grassy hill, though traffic was delayed while emergency officials were on the scene. Even after they left, passers-by slowed to snap photos of the vehicle.
Loomis provides secure cash transport to banks and other businesses.
It’s unclear how much cash the truck was carrying at the time of the wreck,
The driver told WSOC-TV that he hydroplaned in the rain.
Cash scattered across the highway, but authorities picked it up, the station reported.
