Two security team members arrested for shooting at riding club event
CADDO PARISH, La. Dec 4 2020 Caddo sheriff’s detectives have arrested two members of a security team who fired guns during an outdoor event on Gamm Road in November, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
Trometric Humphrey, 45, and Quonmesha Gradney, 27, both of Shreveport, were charged with the illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities for firing guns into the air to break up a fight at the event on Nov. 8.
The gunfire caused other unknown people at the event to also fire guns. Two people were injured by gunfire and several vehicles were damaged.
Humphrey and Gradney were arrested by the Sheriff’s Office Warrants Division after warrants were obtained by Sheriff’s Detective Matt Purgerson. They have since bonded out of Caddo Correctional Center.
A warrant also was obtained for a third suspect, 33-year-old Chadric Dudley of Bossier City, but he has not been located. Dudley also worked security at the event.
The night-time event was hosted by a local trail riding club and included live music, bon fires, and free alcohol. Event organizers rented the outdoor location in the 11000 of Gamm Road and hired the security company. Hundreds of people attended.
Event organizer Verndell Winn, 29, of Bossier City, was issued a summons for providing alcohol at the event without a parish permit, Purgerson said.
