Tyler TX police arrest man for pointing gun at security officer

One man is in custody after he allegedly threatened a security guard at an apartment complex.
Tyler Police Department officers arrested Devon Artell Blakes, 19, of Tyler.
Blakes is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
About 11:46 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to Stone Creek Apartments in the 6100 block of Hollytree Drive in Tyler.
According to TPD Public Information Officer Don Martin, officers were told Blakes verbally threatened a security guard and displayed a weapon.
Officers later determined that the weapon was a toy gun, similar to a BB gun.
Blakes was booked into the Smith County Jail on $25,000 bond.
