Des Plaines IL April 6 2021
After receiving a call of a disturbance, Des Plaines police responded to Rivers Casino at River Road and Devon Avenue on Thursday, April 1 at 2:54 p.m.
Officers on scene learned that Geminesse Sanders, 39, of 2110 S. 17th Ave., Broadview, was falling asleep inside the property and she and her male party were asked to leave. The male was cooperative and began walking with Sanders to a cash out station inside the casino when Sanders allegedly became irate and security had to step in.
While attempting to prevent Sanders from striking the male party, Sanders attempted to strike and bite multiple security guards, said police.
In an attempt to control Sanders, she was placed on the ground where she allegedly proceeded to scratch and spit at the guards before eventually being placed in handcuffs.
Once officers arrived, Sanders was moved to a holding room where she began throwing items about the room, said reports. Sanders was subsequently arrested for 4 counts of battery.
