Valley Stream Walmart security agent threatened with knife
Valley Stream NY March 21 2018 A Queens man was charged with robbery after he pulled a knife on a store security guard who confronted him as he tried to leave a Valley Stream store without paying for items, police said.
Mark Ware, 39, of Dormans Road in St. Albans, was stopped by the security guard at the Walmart on Green Acres Road at 6:10 p.m. Monday, Nassau County police said.
Ware “produced a knife and threatened to stab him,” police said in a news release. The defendant was then apprehended by mall security and arrested by responding officers, police said.
Ware was awaiting arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead on charges of first-degree robbery and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
