Victoria police investigating fraudulent security guard licenses

The crowd control controversy at Marvel Stadium has been hit with another scandal, with some security guards suspended over alleged fraudulent licences.
Hundreds of security personnel across Victoria have been suspended indefinitely over questions surrounding the “status and validity” of some licence holders.
A Victoria Police spokesman confirmed the Licensing and Regulation Division was reviewing private security individual licence holders.
He said the matter is not just focused on Marvel Stadium staff, but rather a wide range of private security workers.
Investigations are now underway to pinpoint the person responsible for falsifying the documents.
Those affected by the suspensions have been notified.
The investigation, which the spokesman said is ongoing, follows a month of criticism and critique for security staff.
