Virginia security officer involved in gun-battle at Woodbridge restaurant
WOODBRIDGE, VA July 21 2018
The Prince William County police reported that they responded to call of shots fired at the El Ranchon Steakhouse Bar & Grill at 13638 Jefferson Davis Highway.
The gunfire erupted early Friday between a security officer and several unknown people outside the restaurant after the security officer went outside to investigate a disturbance.
Shortly before 2 a.m., police responded to the restaurant and was met by an armed security officer who said he heard gunshots outside the business, went outside and saw several unknown people getting into a vehicle.
As the vehicle was leaving, one of the people leaned out and began shooting at the security officer.
He returned fire as the vehicle fled the scene.
Police do not believe anyone was hit but were checking area hospitals.
