West Virginia Resort Security Officer Found Murdered

A West Virginia security officer has been murdered at a resort, and police say the investigation is ongoing.
The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office said it responded to The Resort at Glade Springs near Beckley on Monday for a reported shooting at the security shack.
When deputies arrived, they said they found a security officer suffering from a gunshot wound.
Local firefighters and EMS were dispatched to the scene and the unidentified security officer was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
Michael Lloyd Taylor, 60, of Piney View, W.Va., was identified as a suspect and was taken into custody shortly after, according to the sheriff’s office.
Taylor is being charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, deputies said.
The sheriff’s department has not released the name of the security officer.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing. No details were provided on what sparked the shooting.
