Westmoreland security guard shot dead, head also bashed in

The Westmoreland police are investigating the murder of a security guard whose body was found with gunshot wounds and his head bashed in on Thursday night.
The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Owen Grant of Frome, Westmoreland, and a Kingston address.
Reports are that about 8pm, the security guard left work and was headed home when gunshots were heard.
Upon the arrival of the police, who were summoned to the scene, Grant’s body was seen lying along a roadway with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. His head was also bashed in.
The police are now trying to establish a motive for the killing in an effort to solve the case.
