Wilton CT security guard charged with larceny
Wilton CT July 7 2019 A Bridgeport woman who worked as a security guard has been arrested for third-degree larceny in the theft of two Apple Macbook Pro computers.
Janelle Lashay Myers, 24, of 605 Pembroke Street in Bridgeport, was working at 10 Westport Road in Wilton on May 28, at 3 a.m., when the computers went missing, according to police. Police considered her a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant.
Myers was stopped by state police on a traffic stop when a laptop was found in her vehicle. Police report the serial number on the laptop matched the serial number on one of the stolen computers.
Myers was then taken to Troop C in Tolland on the outstanding warrant.
State police brought her to Wilton on June 24 where she was charged and released on a $25,000 surety bond at 1:10 a.m. on June 25. She is due in Norwalk Superior Court on July 9.
