Witnesses Rush to Help Security Guard Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash
Downey CA May 19 2018Â A security guard was injured late Thursday in Downey after a driver, possibly in a white Honda, struck the victim and took off outside of a restaurant.
Downey police responded to a call at approximately 11 p.m. of an aggravated assault in the 7400 block of Florence Avenue. They found the security on the ground with injuries.
Security camera video showed at least three witnesses run to help the guard.
The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition, according to Sgt. Clemann of the Downey Police Department.
Police are investigating whether the hit-and-run driver was in a white Honda with no license plates.
